Introducing Answer HQ Agent: Your assistant now works with everything you use

Your help articles live in Zendesk. Your products live in Shopify. Your customer data lives somewhere else entirely. When a customer asks a question, the answer could be in any of these places - and until now, your AI assistant could only look in one.

Today I'm very excited to introduce Answer HQ Agent with Connectors- it completely changes how your assistant finds answers.

Introducing Answer HQ Agent

Your assistant can now search your connected services in real time. When a customer asks a question and your assistant doesn't have the answer in its own knowledge base, it automatically searches your Zendesk help center, Shopify store, and more - live, right in the conversation.

Your assistant always sees the latest version of everything you use for your business.

How it works

  1. A customer asks a question

  2. Your assistant checks its own knowledge base first

  3. If it doesn't find a clear answer, it searches your connected tools automatically

  4. It responds using what it finds - with a link back to the original source

You can see exactly what happened in the chat. A small trace shows each search — like "Searched Zendesk for 'return policy'" — so you always know where the answer came from.

Connect your favorite tools in seconds

Setting up is simple — go to Connectors, click Connect, sign in. Your assistant is ready immediately. No waiting for data to sync, and no importing data. It just works.

Right now we support Zendesk and Shopify, with many more providers coming.

What's coming next

Searching is just the beginning. I'm building toward an assistant that doesn't just find information, but also take actions for you.

Here's what's on the roadmap:

  • Create support tickets: When a customer needs help that goes beyond a quick answer, your assistant will create a ticket in Zendesk automatically, with all the context from the conversation already attached.

  • Send emails: Follow-up emails, order confirmations, appointment reminders — triggered by the conversation, sent through your existing email provider.

  • Look up orders: "Where's my order?" is one of the most common questions in e-commerce. Your assistant will be able to pull real-time order status directly from Shopify.

The idea is simple: your assistant should be able to do anything your support team does, using the services your business already runs on.

Safety is the highest priority

When your assistant starts taking action such as creating tickets, sending emails - it needs to get it right. Every new capability is built with guardrails. Your assistant only accesses what you explicitly connect, never touches internal data unless you ask for it, and actions that affect your business will require your approval before going live.

I'm not rushing this. Each new action gets rolled out carefully, tested thoroughly, and designed so you stay in control.
