Last month, your assistant learned to find answers anywhere - searching Zendesk and Shopify live, mid-conversation.

This month, it learned to take action.

Here's what's new:

📅 Book appointments right in the chat

This one just shipped. Connect your Cal.com account from the Connectors page, and your assistant can book appointments for your customers - without ever leaving the chat.

Your visitors pick a time that works, answer your custom booking questions, and confirm, all inside the widget. The booking lands in your Cal.com calendar with notes from the conversation, and your customer gets a confirmation email.

No back-and-forth emails. No "here's my scheduling link, good luck."

📦 "Where's my order?" - answered

The most common question in e-commerce, and your assistant can now answer it with real data.

A customer shares their order number and email, and your assistant replies with a receipt-style status card - status, tracking, items, and total - pulled straight from Shopify. Your assistant can also tell customers whether something is in stock.

Both are off by default. Turn on "Order status" and "Stock levels" from your Shopify connector settings whenever you're ready.

🎫 Tickets, created right in Zendesk

If your team lives in Zendesk, your assistant now meets you there. When a customer needs a human, the ticket is created directly in your Zendesk - with the full chat transcript attached and an AI-written subject line, so your team knows what it's about at a glance.

And if Zendesk is ever unreachable, nothing slips through the cracks: the ticket is created in Answer HQ instead, automatically.

🔐 Know exactly what your assistant can do

Now that your assistant takes actions on your accounts, you should never have to guess what it has access to. Every connector now shows a plain-language list of what Answer HQ can do with your account - like "Read your help center articles" or "Book appointments directly inside the chat."

No legalese, no permission jargon. Connectors are still in beta, and just like I promised in April: each new action gets rolled out carefully, and you stay in control.

All connector actions are available on Pro and Growth plans. If you're on Basic, let's talk.

💡 More improvements

  • Export all your Articles in one click - you get a zip of Markdown files, yours to keep. Your content is never locked in. Available to all plans.
  • The new Insights dashboard is live - Knowledge Gap and Analytics are now one place that shows the gaps, complaints, and wins hiding in your conversations. Available on Pro and Growth plans.

Coming soon

More connectors are on the way - HubSpot, Freshdesk, and Salesforce are next on my list - and I'm digging much deeper into Insights. I'll share more soon 🤫

We're also quietly piloting appointment booking over text message with one customer - stay tuned.
